July17, 2025 “Bring Home a Ribbon: Preparing Honey for Show”

Your honey is the best there is, right? Think it’s good enough to win a blue ribbon? This year the Bedford County Fair has expanded its honey show eligibility area to include Campbell County. So, if you are interested in showing off your honey, you will want to attend our July meeting. Ann Zudekoff, Master Beekeeper, honey judge, and winner of a multitude of ribbons for her honey and bee products will give the club a presentation on how to prepare your honey for show.

August 2018 - Monthly PBA meeting

  • Lynchburg City Public Works Administration Building 1700 Memorial Avenue Lynchburg, VA, 24501 United States (map)

Tenatively, we will have a speaker from a local USDA - FSA office to discuss the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-Raised Fish Program

ELAP is administered by the Farm Service Agency
(FSA) of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

ELAP provides assistance for livestock death losses;
feed and grazing losses that are not due to drought or
wildfires on federally managed lands; losses resulting
from the cost of transporting water to livestock due to
an eligible drought; losses resulting from the
additional cost associated with gathering livestock for
treatment related to cattle tick fever, honeybee feed,
