May 17, 2025 Old City Cemetary Apiary
Tim Colbird and Ann Zudekoff demonstrated basic beekeeping skills and discussed advanced frame reading at the Old City Cemetary Apiary. Tim led an informative discussion about the tools, clothing and equipment needed for beekeeping. Ann showed the group how to efficiently light a smoker, how to interpret brood patterns, identify the queen to make sure your hive is “queen right”, and how to maintain proper bee space in your hives.
